Festival Director’s Welcome

Bienvenue au Festival de films français et francophones de Cork !

CFFF Directors Welcome

For the 37th edition of the Alliance Française de Cork French Film Festival — Ireland’s longest-running French film festival — we are proud to present fifteen outstanding feature and short films from France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. Carefully selected for your enjoyment, these films will be screened at the Arc Cinema in Cork with the kind support of four embassies, as part of Francophonie Month.

This year, we are delighted to welcome Oscar-winning director Régis Wargnier for a special event featuring a screening of his latest film, Redress / La Réparation, followed by a Q&A session, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Ireland.
As every year, we are proud to offer dedicated school screenings over three mornings for post-primary students and their teachers, in Cork, Mallow, and Midleton.

We would like to dedicate this 37th edition to our dear friend and Board Member John Mullins, former President of Alliance Française de Cork (2017–2022), who supported the CFFF for many years and passed away suddenly last April.

A heartfelt thank you to our audiences, funders, sponsors, and partners — and a warm welcome to all newcomers. All our films are screened with English subtitles, so whether you speak French or not (yet!), there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Festival.

Bon festival !
